Editorial Spread
The goal of this project was to explore the elements of grid structure and hierarchical organization by designing two spreads for a typographical magazine. The article outlines the special characteristics of a specific typeface and the history of its development. The content includes a short biography of the type designer, discussion of the typeface’s unique characteristics, and examples that illustrate these features. The challenge of this assignment was to design an effective layout and format the text in a way that effectively showcased the best qualities of the font—through careful choice and adjustment of point size, leading, line length, and word spacing. The result was a composition with a wide typographic value and contrast that is both readable and engaging.
